InfraSen

InfraSen is an infrared based wildlife warning system. With the help of light signals, drivers are informed about the presence of wild animals so that they can adjust their driving behavior accordingly to avoid possible accidents. To prevent any massive interventions in infrastructure, the inventive technology we developed will be placed in the inner top of delineators along country roads. The warning signal is easy to comprehend for traffic participants. Thanks to innovative solar cells the system is durable and characterized by low maintenance intervals which lead to the overall reduction of service costs in the future.

BiDiMoVe

Hamburg Bidirectional, Multimodal, Connected

Secure communication between public transport bus vehicles and traffic control infrastructure (V2X) is provided by a newly developed onboard unit ifak-C-ITS-OBU in the BiDiMoVe project. Certified for passenger transport, the devices enable use cases for prioritizing public transport and protecting vulnerable road users based on V2X communication.

Parking occupancy information and parking spot reservation for a more comfortable multimodal traveling

To accelerate the search and transfer process at park and ride facilities in suburban areas of large cities like Munich, a new smartphone app was developed as an all-inone solution for park and ride users. The app offers an AI-based occupancy prediction, a spot reservation service, a detailed navigation for cars as well as pedestrians at parking spaces and public transit stations and also a multimodal trip planner with real-time schedules for public transit.

DLR

At the test center in Cochstedt, new unmanned aircraft systems and their missions are being tested extensively under realistic conditions. The test site is accessible to universities and other scientific research institutions, industrial enterprises for research purposes, and DLR’s own researchers. The test centre is also particularly interesting for start-ups and SMEs, who have the opportunity to use a state-of-the-art test centre and build up a network with other stakeholders.

AuRa

In the project "AuRa - Autonomous Bike", a bicycle rental system for three-wheeled,independently (autonomously) driving cargo bikes is being developed and tested with the help of an ERDF grant. The cargo bikes will ride autonomously on designated bike lanes and behave according to road traffic regulations. Thus, "AuRa" realizes the need to cover distances in a flexible, cost-effective, resource-saving and thus sustainable way.

Sustainable parcel delivery through combined transport on the last mile with micro depots in Magdeburg (Paket-KV-MD2)

In Magdeburg, a collaborative industrial research project led by the Magdeburg Media Group (MVD: Magdeburger Verlags- und Druckhaus GmbH) and in cooperation with FIApro UG and the Institute of Logistics and Material Handling Systems (ILM) at Otto von Guericke University (OVGU) is to develop and implement parcel distribution using an innovative hub-and-spoke approach via a combination of urban hub, micro depot, parcel stations and cargo bikes. Within the framework of the joint project, the logistic interfaces in the state capitalMagdeburg will therefore be further developed and new handling technologies for combined transport will be realized.

NASA GmbH

The NASA GmbH is a fully owned subsidiary of the German Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt. It plans, controls and finances the regional rail passenger transport service, supervises the regional Rail-Bus-Network and takes care of train stations and their environment. The NASA GmbH endorses transport associations and fare cooperations. It contributes towards research and development projects focussed on passenger information, digitalisation, electrification of drives and automation.

Co-operational development of sensor based roadworks delineator posts

Newly developed intelligent warning beacons for barrier beacons in the GeoNetBake project are used for satellite-supported real-time recording of construction site information. These are essential for reliable and effective traffic and transport management for urban and regional road networks.
