Saxony-Anhalt at CeBIT 2017

IT solutions from Saxony-Anhalt are presented from 20 to 24 March in Hannover at CeBIT 2017 - in Hall 6 / Booth B47.

Fresh and innovative, will be the state's presentation of the IT industry of Saxony-Anhalt in Hannover. This year's focus is on Cloud-Computung, IT-Safety and E-Health project and solutions.

The presentation of the state is completed by the participation of universities and colleges in the joint Central German research booth “Forschung für die Zukunft” (“Research for the future”).

Parnter country Japan

The partner country at CeBIT 2017 will be Japan.

Japan invests billions of dollars in R&D and is a global leader in digitalization, pioneering innovations in areas as diverse as humanoid robots, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, e-skin displays and technologies for translating sound to vibration for the hearing-impaired.

Saxony-Anhalt maintains numerous relations to Japan as well. Six companies from Saxony-Anhalt work with participation of Japanes businesses. The universities and universities of applied sciences in Saxony-Anhalt also maintain abundant cooperations and relations to their Japanese counterparts. This includes Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Harz University of Applied Sciences, Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences as well as the art college of Burg Giebichenstein in Halle.

In 2016, € 90 million worth of goods were exported from Saxony-Anhalt to Japan. The imports from Japan valued about € 55 million.
