Knauf Integral KG invests € 33 million in gypsum fibreboard factory in Saxony-Anhalt. The investment will create 66 new jobs. Energy-efficient power plant in Wendefurth back in operation. The pumped-storage efficiency of 76% achieved in Wendefurth is exemplary. State-of-the-art coal power plants would reach an efficiency of 40%. The turbines in Wendefurth reach full power within 120 seconds. Read more.

Trans-regional network of business and science for future fuel cell production. The new founded cooperation network BiS-Net: Fuel Cells in Series under the management of the Institute of Automotive Expertise (IKAM GmbH) will work on the strategic task of closing the existing development gaps in the transition towards mass production of fuel cells. Hanwha Q CELLS will increase its production capacity to more than 1.5 GW in total within this year. Europe´s largest photovoltaics (PV) provider has completed the construction of an additional 204 MW production line for high performance solar cells in its Malaysian manufacturing facility and will expand its German production site.
