Hanseatic City Stendal – a short overview
Further important transport connections in east/west and north/south direction are given by federal roads B 188 and B 189. The realisation of planned extension of the motorway A 14 from Magdeburg to Schwerin you will give Stendal new economical impulses. Moreover there is an airfield as well as an access to the international waterways’ system in neighbouring town Tangermünde.
As main administration location of the region the medium-sized centre Stendal also fulfils upper central sub-functions.
