The Central German economic region and its offers

Together with the City of Leipzig, neighbouring administrative districts and the Leipzig Chamber of Commerce as well as numerous partner enterprises from the cities and the region, the City of Halle will now be presenting itself at EXPO REAL – the international trade fair for commercial property and investments – for the fourth time at the “Region Leipzig/Halle” shared exhibition stand in Munich from 04 – 06 October 2010.

Entrepreneurs, economic promoters and representatives from the realm of politics and administration working in close cooperation will also inform trade fair visitors this year about developmental emphases and new projects with corresponding offers, presentations, lectures and specialised information in spoken and written form.

All participants of the “Region Leipzig/Halle” shared exhibition stand will be presented this year on a joint Internet platform.

Interested specialised visitors could already inform themselves beforehand about the Leipzig/Halle location and the exhibiting enterprises as well as establish contacts and arrange meetings at the trade fair at http://expo.wirtschaftsregion-leipzig-halle.de.

The main emphases of the Halle presentation at EXPO REAL are extensive property offers from the portfolio of the Real Estate Office and the Economic Promotion Office. The Industrial Estate Haale-Saalekreis on Motorway A 14 will provide answers regarding specific requirements of industrial-scale projects with immediately available, fully developed and outstanding infrastructurally-connected settlement areas. Company founders and investors will find top-class research & development partners and will also benefit from the excellent local conditions at the Weinberg Campus Technology Park. It is the second largest technology park in Eastern Germany after Berlin-Adlershof, and is regarded as the nucleus for Halle’s change from classic industrial location to high-tech technology location of the future.

Last but not least, this scientific infrastructure has induced Halle to advertise itself as the “2012 City of Sciences”. But specialised visitors can also obtain detailed information about inner city projects for the spheres of creative & media industry and promising city locations.

The specialised audience will be offered a broad range of information pertaining to developmental questions in the commercial property market and the logistics region within the framework of forums and discussion panels featuring prominent authorities such as Lord Mayor Dagmar Szabados and Mr. Wolfram Neumann, Deputy for Economy and Employment.

During the presentations in recent years is has become increasingly clearer that the City of Halle and the Leipzig/Halle region have been increasingly perceived and taken seriously as an investment location due to their potentials and their involvement at EXPO REAL. The many above-average construction projects currently being realised in the City of Halle attest to a successful development in the real estate sector. “We would be pleased if this year we could also build on the gratifying trend of past years”, underscores Neumann with regard to the upcoming appearance at the EXPO REAL 2010.
