> New location for Dataport. Dataport has been active as an IT service provider in Saxony-Anhalt since 2013. In the course of digitization, the demand for high-quality IT services has increased significantly in recent years. This growth is reflected in Dataport's ever-increasing demand for personnel. Accordingly, Dataport is building up a software development team at its locations in Halle and Magdeburg, which is expected to employ 40 people next year.

> Ground-breaking ceremony for new EGLO logistics centre. The construction phase of the logistics centre of the luminaire manufacturer EGLO has begun. The distribution centre of the Austrian lamp manufacturer will create 50 jobs at the beginning and up to 150 in the medium term. The new high-bay warehouse is scheduled to go into operation in January 2021.

> Relocation to Saxony-Anhalt. bmp Ventures AG ("bmp") invests with IBG Risikokapitalfonds III GmbH & Co. KG ("IBG") into the Legal Tech Startup LAWIO. LAWIO's mission is to combine law and technology. This enables legal claims to be represented digitally and thus made easily and uncomplicatedly accessible to everyone. The company receives 7-digit capital and moves its headquarters from Berlin to Magdeburg.

> Roofing ceremony for new Progroup AG paper mill in Sandersdorf-Brehna. The heart of the new mill is one of the most modern and efficient paper machines in the world for the production of environmentally friendly and high-quality corrugated base paper. The plant will have an annual capacity of 750,000 tons. The company will thus increase its production of corrugated base paper from 1.1 million tonnes to around 1.85 million tonnes per year.

> Risk capital as a growth engine for our economy. Commitment volume rises continuously to 25 million euros per year. Successful examples are: COMAN Software GmbH - a spin-off of inpro and developer of a unique project and planning software, 3DQR GmbH - with innovative AR technology, the recycling start-up Saperatec and the eCommerce company X-Trade.

> National Testing Center for unmanned aerial systems. In Saxony-Anhalt, a National Test Centre of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for civilian unmanned aerial systems is to be established. The state government today paved the way for the acquisition of Cochstedt Airport (Salzlandkreis) by DLR.

> Avacon launches pilot project in Saxony-Anhalt. Avacon is planning a unique project in a gas distribution network in Germany: in Schopsdorf, a district of Genthin, the energy company wants to add up to 20 percent hydrogen to natural gas for the first time.

> Ideas competition "Reallabore der Energiewende" of the federal government: Two projects from Saxony-Anhalt among the winners.

> R&D: Fraunhofer CAM strengthens its leading position as a center for materials diagnostics. New equipment, new laboratories: Ceremonial opening of the extension building.

> Federal Cyber Agency to Halle/Saale and Leipzig. Following an interim phase, the Federal Cyber Agency is to move to its permanent location at Leipzig-Halle Airport in Halle (Saale). The federal government and the states of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt have agreed on this.
