Natural gas remains almost unchanged as the most important energy source for industry firms in Saxony-Anhalt. As the Statistical Office of Saxony-Anhalt reports, an energy consumption of 270 million gigajoules was reported in the companies in the industry1) in 2011 for their use of gas, mineral oils, electricity, coal, heat, renewable energies and other energy sources.
