3rd Film Music Conference in Saxony-Anhalt

In order to completely make the most of the potentials, which arise for the media location of Halle (Saale) and Saxony-Anhalt, an event was designed in 2007, which was to bring together the themes of “Film” and “Music”, thus connecting two segments of the media industry: the Filmmusiktage Sachsen-Anhalt, which will take place for the 3rd time in 2010.

At the three-day congress, among other things, factors and fundamental issues are discussed, which can decide the commercial success of film music. For the major public gala concert, Bernd Ruf with the Staatskapelle Halle put on pieces by Richard Wagner to Hans Zimmer, in keeping with the motto of this year’s Filmmusiktage. At the same time, the listeners are experiencing a world premiere: The commissioned work “ZwischenTräume” (music: Marc-Aurel Floros, text: Elke Heidenreich) and with “Aleph” (music: Guillaume Connesson), the first part of a cosmic trilogy, a German premiere. “Zwischen Träume” is a commissioned work for the 3rd Filmmusiktage Sachsen-Anhalt 2010, which originated through the kind support of the IMPULS-Festival for new Music 2010.
