On Thursday, October 16, 2025,Minister of Economic Affairs Sven Schulze will hand over several funding decisions with a total volume of around 32 million euros in Zeitz.
First, Infra-Zeitz Servicegesellschaft mbH will receive three funding decisions totaling 29.7 million euros. Minister Sven Schulze then hands over a funding decision of 2.2 million euros to Mayor Christian Thieme of the city of Zeitz for the continuation of the "City of the Future Zeitz" project office.
The funds will be used for measures to shape structural change in the region affected by the coal phase-out and will be provided in accordance with the Coal Regions Investment Act and from the federal STARK program.
