"Saxony-Anhalt will receive a great deal of attention at this year's Hannover Messe, not least due to its recent success in attracting new companies. We want to use this to cultivate local networks and attract new partners. At the Saxony-Anhalt stand, we will be looking at industry trends such as Energy 4.0 and artificial intelligence, as well as the issue of skilled workers. I am looking forward to a constructive exchange on these and other topics. I am looking forward to the presence of our local companies and hope to see many new impulses for the continued positive development of the economy in Saxony-Anhalt," said Saxony-Anhalt's State Secretary for Economic Affairs Stefanie Pötzsch in the run-up to the Hannover Messe.
For five days, around 4,000 exhibitors from the mechanical engineering, electrical and digital industries as well as the energy sector will be showcasing their solutions for the production and energy supply of the future at the world's leading trade fair for industry. Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt mbH (IMG) is organizing a state presentation under the motto "Where Industry and Talents Shape the Future" in Hall 12 / Stand E36.
This year marks the premiere of the state's participation in the "Your Future" initiative for young talent and skilled workers at the Hanover Trade Fair in Hall 2 / Stand C54, which offers young people and young adults unique opportunities to get to know the world of industry and make contact with potential employers.
"One of our most important tasks is to use campaigns to help promote Saxony-Anhalt as a location and its advantages for companies, as well as to attract skilled workers from Germany and abroad. The world's largest showcase for industry is also a good place for small and medium-sized companies to gain insights into how young talent can help shape the future of industry and what career opportunities are specifically available at companies in Saxony-Anhalt," explains Dr. Robert Franke, Managing Director of IMG.
On the five days of the trade fair, the presentations will be accompanied for the first time by an informative stage program both at the state stand and in the "Your Future" area. 26 presentations will showcase solutions from Saxony-Anhalt for a competitive and sustainable industry as well as specific training and career opportunities. Intel specialists, dGW-Gummiwerke, "Zukunftsorte Sachsen-Anhalt" and IGZ BIC Altmark, for example, will be providing information on career entry and career paths. Top founder and influencer Mona Ghazi will be talking to representatives of Magdeburg Solar Award winner Solar Materials about skilled labor strategies for start-ups. HR expert Laura Bornmann will show how companies can attract young talent. "Find your happiness in Saxony-Anhalt" - a competition with attractive prizes - from tickets for festivals to the Harzdrenalin Gigaswing - shows that you can also celebrate and enjoy yourself in Saxony-Anhalt after work.
Prof. Dr. Armin Willingmann, Minister for Science, Energy, Climate Protection and the Environment of Saxony-Anhalt, will visit the Hanover Fair on Monday, April 22 from 10:30 am.
On April 23, Stefanie Pötzsch, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, is expected to visit companies from 10:15 am. In addition to talks with exhibitors at the joint state stand and at the stand of Saxony-Anhalt's universities, the State Secretary's program includes company talks with Siemens AG, ACP IT Solutions GmbH, Horiba Fuelcon, DLR, Hanwha Q Cells and Symacon GmbH.
