The team from the Saxony-Anhalt Skilled Workers and Talent Service will once again be at the OMR Festival in Hamburg on May 5 and 6, 2026, with its “Sachsen-Anhalt-Kann’s-Halt” campaign. With around 70,000 visitors, the event is one of the leading platforms for the digital, marketing, and talent sectors in Europe. At booth A04 in Hall A1, Saxony-Anhalt will showcase its potential as a modern place to work and live.
The focus of this year’s appearance is the JobFinder, which—following its debut last year—can now be experienced and tested live on-site. The goal is to further increase the campaign’s visibility and specifically draw the attention of skilled professionals to the diverse career opportunities in Saxony-Anhalt. Ideally, initial contacts between talent and potential employers from the state will be established right there on-site.
For the first time, the campaign is being supported by so-called STKH ambassadors from companies and institutions in Saxony-Anhalt. Representatives from Petromax, IBM, Mercer, Fresh Pepper, and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg will provide insights into work culture, career paths, and innovation projects, thereby reinforcing the authentic approach at the booth. The company Aurora is also participating as a co-exhibitor this year.
Another highlight is the masterclass “No Metropolis. No Hype. Yet Still Charismatic,” which takes place on May 6, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Jacqueline John-Sell (IMG) and Nils Merker (Petromax) will use concrete examples to demonstrate how companies, brands, and initiatives can develop appeal even outside major metropolitan areas through clear positioning, relevant content, and credible communication. The session is aimed at a select professional audience of around 200 participants.
With its presence at the OMR Festival, Saxony-Anhalt is strategically leveraging one of the digital landscape’s platforms with the widest reach to reach new target groups, generate interest in the region, and attract skilled workers to the state in the long term.
