MANSFELD-SÜDHARZ is located in the southwest of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt in the middle of Germany, right in the middle of the action! The district town is Sangerhausen. The north of the district is dominated by the Mansfeld uplands. To the east is the Harz foreland with its almost forest-free and undulating landscape. To the west, parts of the southern Harz belong to the district. To the south-west, the district ends with the fertile area of the Goldene Aue. The district is divided into nine single municipalities and two association municipalities. „

"There are strong arguments in favor of our growing region: an excellent infrastructure, developed commercial and industrial areas, advanced broadband supply, a local administration geared towards SMEs, support from the Saxony-Anhalt Investment Bank, motivated skilled workers and, of course, the people who are looking forward to meeting you." (Mark Lange, Managing Director of Standortmarketing Mansfeld-Südharz GmbH)

VERBANDSGEMEINDE HELBRA-MANSFELDER GRUND is located between four major federal highways, the B 80, B 180, B 86 and B 242, and has thus established itself as a municipality with a healthy balance of residential and commercial areas. The nearest towns are Lutherstadt Eisleben (approx. 8 km away), Hettstedt (approx. 15 km away) and Sangerhausen (approx. 16 km away).
