The town of Ilsenburg (Harz) with its districts of Darlingerode and Drübeck is located on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains at the foot of the Brocken.
The town has developed into an important industrial and commercial location. Well-known companies of international standing such as Thyssenkrupp and Salzgitter AG have settled here.
Ilsenburg has a direct highway connection to the A36. This provides access to the nearest international airports in Hanover and Leipzig. The tourism industry and skilled trades also play an important economic role for the National Park town of Ilsenburg.
Another plus point is the excellent infrastructure. The town has kindergartens in every district, three elementary school as well as sufficient doctors and care facilities. Shopping markets and full-range suppliers as well as restaurants and hotels up to 5-star establishments round off the offer.
