Green Gate Gatersleben is one of the most dynamic locations for plant biotechnology and plant genome research in Europe. The site is located in one of the most fertile areas of Germany in a center of historical and current plant breeding and is today the competence center for plant biotechnology in Germany. The starting point is the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) with the national ex-situ gene bank for agricultural and horticultural crops.
Green Gate Gatersleben - The Plant Biotech Center is the initiative of all companies and institutions involved in plant biotechnology as well as the public sector on the biotech campus in Gatersleben. The players offer contract research and a wide range of services for companies from the biotechnology, agricultural, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
