Nearly 155,000 euros for virtual Welcome Center

The Mansfeld-Südharz district is delighted to announce that it has received 154,355 euros in federal funding for its project "Development and operation of a virtual welcome center in rural areas for newcomers and returnees".

The virtual Welcome Center is to contribute to the fact that specialists, who want to have a new life center here in the district, can inform and orient themselves better. The virtual Welcome Center is intended to provide a general overview of the region. It is also intended to provide answers to questions such as "Where could my partner find a suitable job?", "Where is the next free kindergarten place?", "Where can I find a dentist, suitable building land or a contact person for the new identity card?".

The project's cooperation partners are Standortmarketing Mansfeld-Südharz GmbH (SMG), the Altenburger Land district and the Leipzig district. SMG will now prepare a tender to entrust an IT company with the technical implementation.

Funding for the virtual Welcome Center is being provided as part of the "Unternehmen Revier" federal model project of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
