Winner of the ideas competition "Reallabore der Energiewende" (Real Laboratories of the Energy Transition)

Two projects from Saxony-Anhalt among the winners

The Federal Minister of Economics, Peter Altmaier, today announced the winners of the "Real Laboratory Ideas Competition for the Energy Turnaround". With the real laboratories of the Energy Turnaround, sustainable energy technologies will be tested under real conditions as well as on an industrial scale. 90 proposals were submitted, 20 of which were selected. Among the winners were two projects from Saxony-Anhalt: the energy park Bad Lauchstädt and GreenHydroChem Mitteldeutsches Chemiedreieck.

Minister President Haseloff congratulated the two winners from Saxony-Anhalt. "Renewable energies and above all hydrogen as an energy carrier are becoming more and more important for the energy supply after an exit from coal-fired power generation. They offer great opportunities for our country. Above all, they will help industry and business to ensure a stable and alternative supply of raw materials and energy in the future and to contribute to a sustainable economy."
