70 years of KATHI

KATHI Rainer Thiele GmbH celebrates its anniversary with a limited edition birthday cake

KATHI Rainer Thiele GmbH celebrated its 70th anniversary with a birthday party. The highlight of the party table was a limited edition birthday cake created by the company itself.

A total of 70 years have now passed since Kathi was founded on March 31, 1951. It has been a period characterized by many memories and emotions, a consistently strong belief in the brand and, of course, delicious cakes and cookies. One of the guests to congratulate the company on its big birthday was the Minister President of Saxony-Anhalt, Dr. Reiner Haseloff. “Today KATHI is not only a flagship business in the food industry in Saxony-Anhalt, but also a company that meets its responsibilities in a variety of ways, with high-quality products and with sponsorship and funding for the training of young people. KATHI represents all that is good about a social market economy.”

The highpoint of the event was the ceremonial unveiling of the limited edition birthday cake – a cake mix for a red velvet Bundt cake with cream cheese frosting decorated with red and yellow hearts. “The cake is a very special creation and a homage to our identity as a regional family business – a traditional Bundt cake with the red velvet mix giving it a contemporary touch, in red and yellow, the colors of our corporate design,” said Marco Thiele, CEO of KATHI Rainer Thiele GmbH. He is the grandson of the founder and was also celebrating his own 50th birthday.

“Our passion for delicious products is the recipe for KATHI’s 70 successful years. We would like to thank all our loyal customers for putting their trust in us and we look forward to helping them create new magical cakes, cookies and sweet dishes in their kitchens,” explained Marco Thiele. With the launch of the new desserts and sweet dishes range over the last year, the company has demonstrated that it still retains its original inventive talents. One thing is certain: Everyone enjoys KATHI's cake mixes, cookies, custards, dessert creams and sweet dishes!
